For sale by Bob Ives
One 'used' genuine Camel Trophy Defender
P231 KAC

Originally with Superwinch and side decals, but changed for following year's event selection to Warn winch. Bought and used by me since then. Roof rack has only been used a couple of times and is in immaculate condition, unlike the 110 which bears a few scars and the usual corrosion.

It has a full service record and drives well, but there is some play in the drive line. The fibre winch rope will be replaced with a wire one and there are either 6 original steel wheels with worn XZLs or 6 alloys, as shown, depending on final price.

I’m looking for best offers over £8,000. The condition is as per the photos and there is a fair bit of slack in the driveline, but it drives well and has been serviced to schedule. The bulkhead is in excellent condition, but although it had a full waxoyl soon after I bought it, there is no sign of that now and the one of the outriggers has a small hole shown in one of the photos. The rear right corner has also been knocked but the rear cross member is solid

All the diagonal rear roll cage bars, dog guard, fuel tank guard, steering guard, roof rack, tools, 6x alloy wheels or 6 steel wheels and steel winch cable come with it.

I’m not sure as to its role on the Mongolian Camel Trophy, but it would have had a Superwinch and ‘Mountain Range’ side stickers and Alloy wheels for the event. When I bought it, it came with steel wheels, the stickers that are on it and the Warn 8274 (Various holes still showing from the Superwinch plug socket and winch light in the grill) as I believe it was used for the following year’s selections.

I will be keeping the fibre winch cable, rear side seat and ammo box.
